In this workshop the main focus will be on the healing aspects of traditional Ashtanga Yoga, where the form and structure of a particular posture is less important than the pace of breath, movement, and energy. Sri K P. Jois words: “Free breathing you do, circulation correcting, pain going.” Or as Nancy used to say: “it doesnt matter how it looks, it is all about the flow of energy, wich is the healing aspect.”
When we focus on the breathing, we promote the body’s natural intelligence which heals us and helps us progress in our practice and as a human being.
- How do we practice to get the best benefits for our health and life.
- What are the main elements that make the Ashtanga Yoga practice a healing transformational process.
- energetic alignment, what is this and how do I know I do the Asana correctly
- How can we support the self in all aspects, physical, mental and spiritual in times of transformations and/or injuries.
- How are the sequences of traditional Ashtanga Yoga built and their energetic and healing effects on the human being.
- How can we grow in our full potential using the techniques of Ashtanga Yoga.
- How to enter the energetic aspects of the sequence, even we are not perfect in each Asana on a physical level.
- How to adjust the practice in difficult and transformational times.
- Detailed Analysis of the most common hindrances of the practice.
This workshop will provide you with the information to experience the practice of Ashtanga Yoga from an energetic point of view and how to practice for a transformational healing process on all levels. How you can keep the practice in times of injuries and other live changes and challenges. We will work on refining your own practice to experience the energetic aspects, so you can go through the sequences using the energetic flow to open the Nadis and clean their energy in a holistic approach.
Andrea was a close student and friend of Nancy Gilgoff and Manju Jois for more then 25 years, and it is her mission to keep teaching this nonjudgmental, nonharming and deeply healing approach of the Ashtanga Yoga method.

Pranayama – is an independent practice and an important part of our Yoga journey. It speaks directly to our subtle body and is a direct path to our nervous system. Regular practice will help you become emotionally and mentally more stable. The flow of thoughts calms down and there is more balance and clarity in your mind. Our immune system is strengthened and it has a positive effect on our entire organism.
This workshop is open to all experience levels. Andrea will work individually with each participant. You can book this workshop also seperatly.
