This Training for teachers and everyone who is deeply interested in the original method, Ashtanga Yoga was taught by Sri K. P. Jois, the founder of this method.
This training will focus on the practice and teaching of the Primary Series in a Mysore Style setting.
Andrea will support your own practice and will give you profound insights in all the different aspects of the teaching of traditional Ashtanga Yoga.
The participation is for yourself, to learn and refine your own practice and for your own teaching of Ashtanga Yoga.
This Training will provide you with the information to experience the practice of Ashtanga Yoga from an energetic point of view and how to practice for a transformational healing process on all levels.
We will explore in practice and theory all the different aspect of traditional Ashtanga Yoga. There will be an exploration of each Asana of the Primary Series, with the performance of the asana and the transitions between them. You will learn how to adapt the Ashtanga Yoga practice to different levels of experience and what each students brings to the practice. We will study how to give variations of the asanas to each individual’s needs and circumstances.
The main focuses in the training will be to provide safe and supporting adjustment according to the individual level of the student. We will explore in depth and detail hands on adjustments on each other and explore different variations for all Asanas of the Primary Series.
You will gain an understanding how to communicate with your hands on the students’ body, and you will experience how to realize energetic blockages and how you can support to release them. The energetic plane of the practice will be explained and experienced. The exploration of the subtle bodies and the energetic alignment in the practice will be accentuated.
SCHEDULE:
Pranayama: There will be each day a 60 min Pranayama session where you will be individual supportet in your Pranayama practice. The training will provide a personal and safe Pranayama practice, according to your level of experience.

- the techniques of Ashtanga Yoga in theory and practice
- the art to adjust (hands on training)
- Adjustments for each Asanas of the Primary Series
- Refine and intensify your own practice
- How to teach in a Mysore style setting
- The energetic bodies (koshas)
- Pranayama
- applied Anatomy in the adjustment training
- Yoga Philosophy and discussions
An established, daily Ashtanga Yoga practice for minimum 2 years is mandatory to apply. The full Primary series should already be integrated in your daily practice.
The Training will provide for each participants an intense learning and practice experience.
Please be aware that due the short time of this training, it is not a complete Teacher Training, more a stepp to become a teacher or to refine and learn more if you are already teaching. The Training will be also be benefical for everyone who has no intention to teach, as it will provide you with a deep understanding of the Ashtanga Yoga tradition.
The main teaching language will be English, due to our international students. Translations will be provided as much as needed, and we will make sure that the language is no hindrance for your understanding of the topics. If there are any doubts, please feel free to contact us.

The groupsize is limited to 14 people, to make sure that each participant will receive full individual attention.
